FAQ 4 The Math of 10-10-220 1010220 Consumer Alert !10-10-220 has raised their prices!Revised April, 2005
Is 10-10-220 a good deal?
The Telecom*USA 10-10-220 program has been advertised heavily by well known sports figures. But is it really a good deal? A review of their website (www.1010220.com/rate_domestic.html) in December of 2003, shows they no longer offer the "20 minutes for just a buck" program and has more than doubled their rates.
The once heavily advertised 10-10-220 program that offered you, in our opinion, a questionable deal to start with, is now charging $1 for 15 minutes and 15 cents per minute after that. This is an incredibly bad deal. .
Take a look at the Table A. As you can see, if you make a 10-10-220 call and take 1 minute or less, you pay 99 cents per minute. Think of it this way: If you call and leave a message on an answering machine or voice mail, you paid 99 cents to leave that message. That's an expensive message.
10-10-220 ConclusionIf you use 10-10-220 you may be paying some of the highest cost per minute available anywhere. We would recommend staying away from this program completely. You can find a far better deals by comparing other carriers here.
