A banner exchange is a mechanism to display your banner or advertisement on another web site.  In exchange you agree to display the banners of other web masters on your site.

Simply by adding a small piece of code to your website and uploading your banner to the exchange host site, you will begin showing the banners of other sites and your site will be showing on other sites.

Some exchange will even give you the tools to help you create your banner.

You'll have to go through an approval process since most reputable banner exchanges will not accept adult sites or gambling sites.

There's a ton of exchanges out there.  A simple Google search for "banner exchange" will find over 2 million hits.

Of the ones I've used, I've found BannersGoMLM.com to be one of the best.   For the sites I've used them on it has been very effective.
