Part 6 of an 8 part guide to driving traffic to your web site

Search engines love content.  Lots of content.  Some web masters will fill their sites with page after page of content but never seem to improve in Google Page Rank.  That's because the forgot one thing:

Search Engines want Unique Content.

Many affiliate programs will provide free websites to their affiliates.  It's a simple enough thing to register a unique domain name and point it to the free website.   The problem is that all the content is duplicated by every other affiliate in the program.  How could you possibly improve your Google Page Rank when there can be thousands of websites just like yours?

The solution is to write your own unique content.  Everyone has some type of expertise in something or at least some unique experience or perspective on something.   Use this to your advantage and fill several pages related to your website category.  Google likes to see new content and modified content (freshened) as frequently as possible.  So the more unique content you add to your site, the better you maintain your site, the better your rankings will be.

At the bare minimum you should at least have a page about the unique qualities of the product you are selling.   Whether it's widgets, humor or gadgets, you should be able to write a page describing it.

These unique pages are the pages the the search engines are going to use to find your keywords or key phrases so write a page around the keywords you are going after.  Don't try to stuff all the keywords you want in one page, do a unique page around the keyword your after.

Lastly, don't forget to use the keyword or key phrase in your page title.  This is the most important thing that I need to impress on you.   If your unique content page is built around a keyword or phrase and you include it in the title, your site will be ranked higher on Google.   Do this for each of the keywords and phrases you want and you will drive a ton of free targeted traffic directly to your web site.
