  CIC Codes 10-15-XXX

 

CIC is an acronym for "Carrier Identification Code". This code is assigned to your line(s) by your dial tone provider to automatically route your long distance calls out your selected long distance carrier. It is possible in some cases to manually dial the CIC code i.e.: 1010288-1-700-555-4141 will route you out AT&T lines. In most cases you will have to have an account with the long distance carrier for your call to be processed and if you have not up for a special pricing program with this carrier you WILL be charged at the highest possible rate. (Note: this code is sometimes called a PIC for "Presubscribed Interexchange Carrier")
